![]() I think Mexico City is as close as you can get to the New York City of Latin America. ![]() The art is overwhelming the food is outstanding. ![]() Sometimes referred to as CDMX or DF (Distrito Federal) by locals, Mexico City is brimming with history, culture, and cuisine that make other destinations pale in comparison. And of course there are less safe areas, just like there are less safe areas in your region - so you stay out of them. There are quite a few Mexico City neighborhoods that are just as safe as your neighborhood at home. Mexico City is gorgeous, elegant, and endlessly interesting.
